First post

Hi everyone!
So I've decided (after much deliberation) that I would start a little blog.
There were many reasons, but the main one was because I love writing and I thought I could create this as a sort of journel (thanks amz for suggesting it!) because I'm rubbish with writing in my ACTUAL diary :)
And lots of you mummies out there have a blog, so I thought i'd join in!!

What you can expect:
  • I'm rubbish at spelling. Not even kidding. I'm like a 10 year old in my abilities to spell properly. So my apologies everyone. That also goes for grammer too! expect both to be very...very bad!
  • Lots to do with family things, mostly gushy pictures of Moses doing things which most people would find mundaine, but cause i'm his mum I find them SPECTACULAR!
  • I'm a member of slimming world, I cook a lot of healthy food, so you'll get lots of pics and recipes for yummy meals....or ones that I have burnt and taste grosce!!!
  • Rambilings...lots of them. If i'm in a great mood, or a bad one, you'll hear about it!!!- but not in a apathetic emo way...i'll try and put a comical spin on it all!!
  • I'm also thinking of writing some sort of book. So perhaps I might publish a chapter or two every week for everyone.
  • Some stuff about work, i'll keep this minimum, i'm not on here to advertise!

So yeah...That's about it.
I hope lots of you follow me, and I'll follow you back. It's nice to hear a lot about someone's goings on through a blog I think.
So I'll start my blog with my goings on this week :)

October...The begining...

This week I've been caining it at the gym. Last week I put on some weight so I really wanted to go for it this time. I did spinning once and zumba twice.
For those of you who arn't sure what spinning is, it's basically a class on bikes. But the bikes are like road bikes but stationary, theres an instructor, and very very loud music. You bascially pedol untill you either die, or the instructor tells you to stop!!!! You change resistance so it becomes easier/harder and you can't just STOP the pedals because they are weighted so you just have to slowley stop.

It's like death on a bike.
And it lasts 45 minutes.

I like spinning but it is sooooooooooooooo hard!!! I look around the room and its like everyone is having a picnic and i'm sweating and crying (almost) and I'm not even 10 minutes in! I'm sure i'll get  better at it soon, Spinning is something you have to work really hard at to be able to keep up with the instructor. So when she shouts 'turn that resistance up one notch!!!' I pretend to! lol! Otherwise I would through up!

I'm sure your all familliar with zumba, this is my favoraite class. The instructor still shouts at you over loud music, but its a lot more of a laugh.
If your un-coordinated (like me) then it's still fun, cause everyone else there is the same! people dance this way and that and are equally as confused as you are. But most of them are laughing and it's just a lot of fun!
It burns and lot of calories for me and I think it's begining to help my co-ordination. fingers crossed!

So yeah I've been trying really hard, and I lost 2.5lbs which was ok but because of the gym my body is building up muscle so i'm weighing a bit more. catch 22.
But at least it's going in the wright direction.

The diet 'slimming world' is basically a none fat diet. You can basically have anything you want, but if has to be none fat and if it isn't then you have to count it.
I like making the food, and it's fun to try new stuff. I made this AMAZING turkey thai green curry tonight. The idea came from sarah wrenn. She told me if you make a curry using the fat free muller light coconut yoghart instead of coconut milk or cream (which are loaded with calories) it tastes great! so I just applies it to a thai curry instead.
Just fry some onion in fry light, once thier brown add the turkey, a some garlic, pepper and some beansprouts. Then once the turkey is cooked ad 1-2 tablespoons of thai green curry paste (try to use a very low fat once under 2.0 grams) then add in 1-2 pots of the muller light depending on how saucy you like it or on how many people its for. Put the noodles on. Add a bit of soy sauce to the curry. Plate up once the noodles are done and sprinkle with some chopped spring onion. Yummy,  here it is:

Tis delish. And it only takes around 20mins!

I'll try and post a few recipies every week. Dont expect any sweet ones, i'm rubbish in making them and to be honest the slimming world deserts are mank. I've just resorted to having an options hot chocolate when I'm craving sweet. I make it with milk HE+a and its only 2 syns.

On a totally un-related note, I'm very excited as I have several bookings for xmas art fairs for my buisness. I sell/make childrens silver fingerprint jewellery and 3d hand castings:

Just some examples. I'll post new pics when I make things for clients. I made a beautifull peice for my mother in law honor, it was 6 hands!!! all printed into clay and painted gold. Once I get a piccy i'll post, then you can see what i'm barking about!

So I'm excited I can showcase my peices at local events and fairs to get the word out there! Although i'm anticipating a busy xmas, maybe extra exposure is the wrong idea!

Quick note, my auntie lisa is getting married in december after 10 years of being engaged!!! im very excited so will be blogging about wedding things and would love any tips and treats you have to share on the wedding front!!!

Enough rambelings I suppose, and it's getting late for me! so I shall leave it here. Thanks for following, thanks for reading.
Nighty Night Night XxXxX
